An Amantii Outdoor Electric Fireplace Still Needs a Protected Location

The most useful field in Amantii’s documentation table is not “Outdoor.” It is whether the exact model row actually links an Outdoor Install Guide.

Start there. If the current row for the model you intend to buy has no outdoor guide, do not borrow one from a similar series. If it does have the guide, the model is still only a candidate: the proposed location must be protected from direct water, attached to the exterior of the main building rather than a standalone structure, and covered by the overhang geometry described in that guide.

That order matters. It prevents a brand-level indoor/outdoor label from approving a wall that the model’s own documentation has not approved.

The documentation row is the gate

Amantii’s current all-documentation page makes the distinction visible. Symmetry Lumina models from Sym-34-Lumina through Sym-100-Lumina display an Outdoor Install Guide. The current Symmetry Slim rows do not display that column. Tru View Signature TRV-55-SIG and TRV-75-SIG show the guide; TRD Signature BI-TRD-38-SIG does not.

The pattern repeats inside names that look even closer. Current TRD Lumina models show the guide, while TRD XS 26, 30 and 33 display N/A in the outdoor-installation field. Panorama Slim OD, Panorama Xtra Slim and Panorama Deep rows display the shared guide. Linear Evolution and Classic Edition rows have manuals and other documents, but no outdoor-installation field on the current table.

This is a representative screen, not a permanent complete model list. The live documentation owner can change, and the exact row—not the family resemblance—controls the next step. A missing guide is a hold, not an indoor verdict

“No outdoor link” and “proven indoor-only” are different statements. The first describes what the current documentation owner does not close. The second would require affirmative model-specific evidence.

That difference protects the shopper in both directions. It prevents an unsupported outdoor approval, but it also prevents us from inventing a prohibition that Amantii has not stated. The practical outcome is simple: pause the order and ask the manufacturer or dealer for the current outdoor document that applies to that exact model. A product-page sentence, another size’s PDF or a previous generation’s guide does not fill the gap.

Similar names make this especially important. Symmetry Lumina and Symmetry Slim are not interchangeable document identities. TRD Lumina, TRD XS, TRD Bespoke and TRD Signature do not inherit one another’s outdoor field. The model string on the quote must match the model string in the current document set.

The shared guide rules out two locations immediately

Once the exact current row supplies Amantii’s Outdoor Install Guide, open it before comparing flame styles, media or smart controls. The guide says it applies to select electric fireplaces in outdoor areas protected from direct water impingement. It also says the fireplace is not to be installed in a standalone structure, even if the other stated requirements are met.

That produces two immediate outcomes.

A freestanding pavilion, gazebo or detached pergola is outside this documented path. An appliance wall on the exterior of the main house can continue, but only if the fireplace remains protected from direct water and the required overhang relationship closes. “Under a roof” is not enough by itself; an open side can still admit driven rain, irrigation spray or splash.

The illustration is not an Amantii product image or an installation approval. Its job is to make the structure and exposure difference visible before the wall is designed.

The guide also keeps electrical responsibility tied to local requirements. A weather-protected face does not approve the supply, connection or protective device. After the model and location survive this screen, carry the exact manual’s allowed connection into the plug-in-versus-hardwired specification guide and a responsible site review.

Half the roof-line height is a real geometry test

Amantii’s guide defines a rain-protection overhang factor of one-half to the front and to each side of the installed fireplace. It defines the roof-line height from the base of the fireplace and gives its own example: when that height is 8 feet, the overhang must extend at least 4 feet.

Minimum overhang reach = 0.5 × roof-line height measured from the fireplace base.

That result applies to the front and each side as described in the guide. It is not the roof’s total dimension, a decorative mantel projection or the distance from grade. If the roof line is not directly measurable from the proposed fireplace base, or if the side protection cannot be identified, the geometry is unresolved.

Do not use the formula to turn a failed structure into a passing one. A 4-foot canopy on a freestanding pavilion still conflicts with the guide’s main-structure rule. Nor does the factor make direct spray acceptable. Structure, water path and overhang are separate conditions; none compensates for another.

Use the manufacturer’s 8-foot-to-4-foot example as a screening calculation on the plan. The final site geometry, clearances, finish, drainage and electrical work remain attached to the exact model manual and responsible project review.

Current and discontinued documents must not be mixed

Amantii maintains a separate discontinued-documentation page. That is useful when an installed fireplace has an old label or an owner needs the correct historical manual. It is not a current-catalog shortcut.

A retired row may still carry an outdoor guide. That proves what document belonged to that retired identity; it does not establish that a similar current model uses the same guide, and it does not turn the retired product into current stock. Conversely, a current family may have replaced an older suffix while changing manuals, features or document links.

Freeze four items together: exact model string, current or discontinued owner, manual title/revision, and outdoor-guide link. If any one of those four fields comes from a different identity, the outdoor decision is not closed.

A screenshot saved without its URL and date is weak handoff evidence because the live owner can change. Preserve the current page URL, model row and document date with the quote. That gives the designer, electrician and installer one shared identity instead of three near-matching products.

Let one model and one wall produce the answer

The order is ready for project review only when the same record closes the model and the wall.

A linked guide moves the model into the location test; it does not finish the purchase. A protected main-house wall with closed overhang geometry can advance to exact-model power, clearances and service planning. A product with no current guide, a detached structure or an unresolved water path stays out of the cart.

An Amantii model earns an outdoor shortlist twice: once in the current documentation row, and again at the wall. A product that passes only one is not ready to order.
